I'm not sure how I missed hearing about and seeing this huge sculpture piece back in the 2008 summer. It was exhibited separately in the NYC 590 Sculpture Garden during Takashi Murakami’s Brooklyn Museum show – which was completely awe inspiring. I'm a big fan. Murakami’s Kai Kai Ki Ki art studio is in Long Island City not too far from me. I've passed by and tried to spy inside with no luck. I guess I’ll have to work up the nerve to knock on the door someday. Go DOB.
